Introduction

T2, otherwise known as Trump 2 or Trump X2, gets its name from former President Donald Trump. Like him or hate him, Trump has etched his name in the annals of American history. Like its namesake, the T2 strain is quite intertwined with America’s cannabis history.

Cannabis enthusiasts unanimously agree that the T2 strain is not as controversial. Typically, CBD-rich hemp strains are among the most popular among users. The T2 strain is a high-CBD-level bud useful for many therapeutic uses. These flowers are in gorgeous deep purple and dark green colors, coated with a generous sticky coating of trichomes and blazing orange pistils. Because of these factors, the T2 hemp strain is excellent for extraction purposes.

At this point, it’s clear that CBD has some big-time benefits for the human mind and body, and T2 is loaded to the brim with it. Although President Trump might not make me feel relaxed, the T2 hemp strain certainly does! Let me share my experiences with the T2 hemp strain with you!

Key Takeaways

  • T2 stands for Trump 2, a strain of hemp named after former President Trump.
  • The T2 hemp strain contains upwards of 17% CBD, although minimal THC, so while it has therapeutic potential, it will not get you high.
  • With several dominant terpenes, the T2 strain has a distinctly sweet, fruity, and citrusy flavor.

What Is the T2 Hemp Strain?

T2 is a widely popular hemp strain. It potentially has some of the highest CBD contents of any hemp strain, at 17% or higher, depending on the specimen.

Many people, including myself, get stressed out when they hear about politics, which is funny, seeing as the CBD contained in the Trump strain should do the opposite; it should calm you down and mellow you out.

T2 Hemp Strain Appearance

The T2 hemp strain features relatively large buds of an irregular shape and medium density. They aren’t too fluffy, but not overly compact either. The buds look quite nice, featuring a striking dark green base with deep purple accents.

Like the former POTUS himself, these buds are covered in bright orange hairs (although Trump might just have the slightly better hairdo) and a healthy layer of snow-white CBD-filled crystals.

T2 Hemp Strain Genetics

The genetics of a plant can give us an idea of the physical characteristics and profile of its strengths and weaknesses. The great T2 hemp strain is currently one of the most CBD-dominant hemp strains available in the industry. Reaching 17% of CBD levels in some plants, this is a strain found to have a lot of benefits for our physical and mental health.

T2 Hemp Strain Lineage

In terms of the lineage, it’s called T2, or sometimes Trump Squared, because it’s a cross between Trump and Trump, or in other words, a back-cross between two of the best Trump strains. Over the last few years, the genetics may have gotten a bit muddled, as some may have crossed Trump with a different strain to create their own version of T2.

However, real T2 is made by backcrossing two trump strains, which is beneficial because it helps the strain to become much stronger and more resilient while eliminating undesirable traits from the lineage.

T2 Hemp Strain THC/CBD Content

The T2 hemp strain doesn’t contain much THC, if any at all, well under 1%. This is the nature of hemp; it generally contains plenty of CBD but not much THC.

So, if you’re looking to get high and sedated after a long day of work, unfortunately, this isn’t the strain for you.

However, if you’re like me, and you just need something to take the edge off and help you wind down after a stressful day, then the 17%+ CBD content of the T2 strain is rather perfect.

It’s all about reaping the potential therapeutic benefits of CBD. Sometimes, I like smoking some green without getting high, and that’s exactly what T2 lets me do.

T2 Strain Terpenes

T2 hemp flowers have a high terpene content, which makes them helpful for a wide range of therapeutic uses. The primary terpenes in T2 hemp are caryophyllene, which interacts with the CB2 receptor of our endocannabinoid system; and myrcene, a compound that supports relaxation and sleep.

We also have limonene, a terpene that acts as a stress reliever and a mood enhancer, and humulene, which interacts with CBD to intensify its benefits. We can definitely say that this strain is nothing but delicious. It provides a taste that reminds of sweet and fruity grape with citrus that fills the taste profile.

When burnt, the T2 strain emits a mild earthy aroma within a smooth smoke that comes with an extraordinary combination of fragrances that go from woody to sweet fruity terpenes.

T2 Hemp Strain Reported Flavors

The main flavor I got from the T2 hemp strain, right on the first inhale, was some sweet fruit. Although it is sweet, I couldn’t pinpoint the exact fruit, but that said, there was also a distinctly citrusy undertone, especially on the exhale. I also got a hit of berries, particularly as an aftertaste.

T2 Hemp Strain Effects

Just to be clear, so you don’t get disappointed, this strain is not psychoactive or intoxicating. It does not contain significant levels of THC and will, therefore, not get you high. When I smoked the T2 strain, what I felt was a sense of relief. I felt like a wave of calm washed over me as my stress flowed away downstream. I just felt much calmer, relaxed, clear-headed, and energized. It felt like T2 motivated me to do more.

On that note, it seems like I also managed to reap some light pain relief benefits from it because whenever I smoke the T2 hemp strain, my old weightlifting injuries don’t seem nearly as bad.

Worth noting is that the terpenes contained in this strain, caryophyllene, myrcene, and limonene, are all known to have therapeutic benefits. Caryophyllene can help reduce anxiety, myrcene has pain-relieving benefits, and limonene has stress-reduction benefits.

Growth Information

The T2 is a hardy strain that is ideal for outdoor hemp cultivation facilities, thanks to its durability and resilience to harsh weather conditions. Moreover, this strain’s seeds are also famous for producing high CBD content and massive flowers.

The T2 Strain is rich in over 19% of all cannabinoids. However, to attain the higher CBD content this strain can give, the T2 hemp strain requires very optimal growing conditions, allowing it to grow and thrive fully. This strain flowers in 8 - 10 weeks
