I've been searching for pain reduction, and hopefully healing so that pain management is needed less. I'm wanting the elements of the whole flower, and not just what is gotten from smoking it. After decarboxylating, I made a 1:15 ratio oil infusion in shea butter with the intention of topical use. If my math is right, this is about 2 mg THC to a gram of infusion.
The topical didn't work for deep tissue. Shea butter is edible, so I tried about a gram of the infusion internally, and made my pain so very much worse, plus a wicked headache, and some amount of a dissociative high-which could have been nice without the pain. I learned that I may be one of those people that THC amplifies nerve pain. I tried again , and matched at a 1:4 ratio with an infusion I made from the Blue Dream CBD-as I read that CBD helps balance the THC. Same results, but less severe.
I will be able to use the rest of that I have for my husband, who uses THC for sleep, although he says the gummies work better for him.
As for the judging the quality of this particular flower, I'm new to cannabis. I have extensive knowledge of herbs, though, so that may help qualify my opinion. The flower was rich in color, and the smell was very strong and clear when I opened the jar.
